05 Jun 2025-World Environment Day

World Environment Day is observed globally on 5th June every year. Led by the United Nations, this initiative aims to raise awareness and inspire action toward environmental protection. Each year, the celebration revolves around a specific theme—ranging from climate change and biodiversity to sustainable living.

Over the years, human activities have exploited and degraded Earth’s natural ecosystems. It is now more important than ever to come together, reflect, and adopt responsible practices in how we use our natural resources.

In line with the 2025 theme—Ecosystem Restoration—Don Bosco ITI, Kokar organized a series of activities on 5th June to instill environmental consciousness among its staff and trainees.

The day began with a tree plantation drive, enthusiastically participated in by both students and staff. Following the plantation, Same Tigga delivered an insightful talk on the importance of afforestation and environmental protection. This was followed by another motivational address by Laxman Runda, who further emphasized the urgency of nurturing our environment.

Later, the trainees of Don Bosco Tech engaged in a short cultural program featuring speeches and skits highlighting the need to protect our planet. This was followed by a drawing competition centered on the theme of environmental conservation.

The powerful messages shared during the event resonated deeply with the trainees, inspiring them to take concrete steps toward safeguarding nature—such as planting more trees and reducing pollution.

Finally, Br. Tom, the Principal, addressed the gathering, encouraging everyone to take personal responsibility for environmental preservation. He urged the trainees to adopt a proactive and positive attitude in sustaining the planet for future generations.
